Received the creel today. Was very disapointd in the quality. Very Poor quality
The creel I received was not the same as pictured on Amazon. There are metal rings holding on the creels lid. Poor quality at that! This creel cannot be used when in the pursuit of fishing. The lid rings catch the wicker and destroy it! Shoulder strap way to short. This creel can only be used as a decoration to hang on the wall in your Den. Seller should state only for decoration.Leather accent strapping does'nt go all the way around the creel it's glued on by overlapping only 1 inch on the bottom and aroud the back. If your looking for a creel that is functional don't buy this! Do not buy from this seller ! This is junk !

I am extremely disappointed with this product. The hinge for the lid are two over-sized metal rings instead of the hinge shown on the picture. When the hinges were installed, the wicker material was broken and the lid just flops around. This would be very annoying on the creek.

Also, the strap is extremely short. When adjusted to the longest possible length the basket still, only reaches halfway to my waist. I will need to cut the strap to add length to it.

Overall, it is very cheaply made basket and I will probably be returning it. If I could rate it less than one I would.

I have a bit of a lodge theme going in my house and I wanted something to hang near the front door for dog leashes (used daily). I thought a Creel was the perfect solution. I still think it is a great idea, but I shopped for a low price and this product was definitely inexpensive. It also very cheaply made--so I guess a real antique creel is in my future!
