Berkley Cherrywood 2 Piece Fly Rod (8'0", 6 Guide, 6-7 lb. Line Wt.)

The rod itself seems to be a good product. I plan on taking it fishing this weekend to try it out for the first time. It's obviously not some super expensive rod. It is what it is. A moderately priced rod that I'm going to use as an introduction to fly fishing. I only have two complaints about the rod itself.

1) the very tip of the rod is slightly curved to the right

2) there is a drop of resin on the first snake guide

Both of these mean very little to me because again, this will be my fly fishing learning tool.

My biggest complaint was the packaging. When I first saw it I said to myself "Why would they do that?" and "It must be broken." What they had done was take a single piece of card board, fold it over like a hot dog bun, and put the rod in it and glued the edges.

The fly rod was very poorly packaged and broke during travel. It was the rod I ordered and wanted. Very disappointed when I opened up the box and it was broken.
