I picked this rod to fill in while my split bambo rod is being repaired. Looking it over it seems alot for the money but using it will give an indication of it's value. It appears to be quality built and certaintly is a good looking rod.

Wonderful rod for beginner or pro. Light weight and nice action. Will not make you feel like you've held the world up from fishing it all day. I mean really light weight.
This is my second Berkley Cherrywood fly rod. My first is an 8' #5-6 weight I've had for 5 years and I use it for most all my fishing. I've taken large largemouth and smallmouth bass, brute carp, bluegills and crappie, rainbow cutthroat and brook trout with it. I'm surprised it's not worn out. It's stood the test of time and that is the exact reason for buying a second Cherrywood fly rod. I know they are quality rods with sensitive action and I wouldn't trade them for a Bamboo rod.
This new 8'-6" rod is fitted with a #7 reel and wf7f line. It will be used for Musky fishing also.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Berkley Cherrywood rods whether fly rod bait casting or spin casting. Quality product and fantastic for the price, can't be beat in my book!!! They are light weight and super sensitive...Read more
