Summary: Broke 3 ways from Sunday on the first outing 2008-09-15
Comment: I thought this product seemed like a good idea. My son has a very small Star Wars closed reel pole that has terrific casting range. So I bought one of these. When it arrived, the packaging was very nice and the pole went together easily. I put a practice casting weight on it and realized there was something wrong with the reel. After spending an hour getting it to reel-in properly, I took it down to the lake. Within the hour, the pole itself had snapped in half during a cast. What really irked me was the blister the little gold clip on the handle left me with. Very disappointing product from Coleman.
