It's pricey, but it works. Never had a problem reading mine - no different than any other thermometer I've used. Solidly built.

Best and maybe ONLY quality of this thermometer is that it's cheap. I have decent eyesight but cannot for the life of me figure out what the digits on the thermometer are. I took it from 85 ° air and put it in a glass of ice water (more ice than water). Could not see that the thermometer reading changed an iota. Useless. Worthless.
Not bad but hard to read,

This is a nice little thermometer encased in a snazzy protective metal cover with a place to attach a lanyard or split ring. Or a fishing line. Seems to work ok -- passed the 'glass of cold water' test easily, adjusting quickly. It is a bit hard to read though. On one side are Celsius gradations, on the other side Farenheit, and it's oriented so that when the Farenheit digits are right side up the thermometer reads from right to left, so a bit tricky. Also, the glass tube is quite small, which places the digits around toward the back a bit and with the metal casing coming around it doesn't make for a really quick read. So basically, it's inexpensive, looks sturdy, seems to work fine, but a little hard to read.
