As someone new to flyfishing, this chest pack had all of the features that I was looking for. All of my accessories fit into the multiple storage pockets which are easily accessible from the front of this pack, and it has allowed me to completely do away with a fishing vest. I looked at several other models from different brands and felt this was the best value for the money. The free shipping only increased the value. Overall, a great purchase!

This thing is great. Outstanding quality! Holds everything I need for a morning of fly fishing on the Deschutes. It's much better than wearing a traditional vest on a hot day too.

after 1 year using the chest pack from Fishpond it's a real good stuff for use as flyfishing pack and also as a spinning pack due to the fact you are out for fishing with waders in the streams.
The single parts are big enough to care all your stuff and you can open each area without loosing anything cause its covered with belts.
You can use it easily as back pack or front pack or either sidewards.
If its getting wet open all the areas and have it dried by night.
Its a awesome chest pack and I love it.
