This review is from: Lefty Kreh Professional Fly Rod - 8 foot - 4wt - 4 pc - Temple Fork (Misc.)
TFO's are a great value. Fly fishing technology has progressed to the point where there's little difference between a TFO and the most expensive graphite-composite rod. If bamboo is your fancy that's a different ballgame. But there's no point in paying up for graphite when the odds are good of the rod breaking at some point. I've seen two guides who use TFO rods, so it's not like they're strictly for entry level or light use. The key with rods is to get the appropriate weight rod for the fishing you're doing. Go TFO and you can get multiple rods to cover everything from salt water flats fishing to small stream brookies.
This is a four piece rod and thus great for packing and hiking into high lakes or distant waters.
