I've got this reel on a 6' 6" ultralight rod and spooled with 6 lb braid as a shore fishing setup for crappie. Works great. The price is right, and its a good quality reel.
Update: I've caught a bunch of crappie, trout, and sunfish with this reel so far. Switched to 4 lb flourocarbon line. Still very satisfied. Would get another if I needed it.
