This is a solid product, that is built to last. The only pitfall is that the cord can be restrictive at times, as it is relatively short when compared to similar products.
** Update - After a season with two of these...I have a major complaint. They came unlatched on me a couple of times. To clarify, it was the safety pin device that you mount to your pack etc. that came undone (you close the pin...and than spin a tiny washer until it snaps into place). It happened several times, so I can't chalk it up to chance.

I used this for perhaps 150 fishing days before it gave out on me. When I say, "gave out on me", I mean that it got caught on another piece of gear and I pulled hard on it, separating the pin from the plastic body. My fault, not the gear's.
A huge benefit is that because there is no metal spring, it is relatively saltwater resistant. The pin and clasp are metal and will eventually corrode, but metal springs don't last long at all in that environment.
Will buy again.
