This wire is offered mainly for tying fishing lures, well, think again.

As a non participant of sports in general, I was still glad to see this product available as I needed it to complete the rigging of a plastic model of a Pirate Ship. It seems that plain old thread sags too much and you cannot set the sails in the correct positions without the stiffness of the copper wire. It is easy to work with and can easily be painted black or a rope color.

Additionally, if one is into scale operating models, you can use this wire to string power lines that can actually carry electricity from one point to another on your model railroad.

Finally, if you ever set up music wire landing gear for model aircraft, you can use this copper wire to "wrap" pieces of music wire to hold and strengthen two parts that come together for soldering.
